Monforte dresses for Christmas

12/15/2020 Monforte dresses for Christmas to say goodbye to 2020 and to welcome 2021. The monuments and main spaces of the city enjoy the setting to bring the Christmas spirit to the entire city. This year, the star of the Plaza de España was exchanged for a gift-package-bow that symbolizes, in the words of the Mayor, José Tomé, “a new hope and a new illusion for the next year 2021. A year we wish to come full of joy and opportunities for all, and may he give us health, normality and economic progress for all, leaving behind the nightmare of the Covid-19 pandemic ”. The City Council of Monforte seeks that the atmosphere in the streets helps to stimulate local commerce and that the purchases of these dates are made in the city.

Many of the usual activities in the Christmas program had to be canceled to adapt to the pandemic control protocols and design a program adapted to the circumstances determined by the sanitary conditions.
