05/07/2018 The Paseo del Malecón of Monforte hosts the "Ribera Sacra Wine Festival" from Friday, July 6, until the 8th . The event organized by the City Council of Monforte de Lemos and the Regulatory Council of the Ribera Sacra Denomination of Origin will be inaugurated on the 6th at 7:00 p.m., although the stands will be opened at 6:30 p.m.
In this second edition of the Festival will be represented 24 wineries belonging to the 5 subzones of the D.O. Ribera Sacra. The offer will be completed with recreational, cultural, gastronomic and tourist activities.
Tomorrow's program opens with ViñoRuta del Miño "De Río y de Piedra" that will leave at 9:30 from the Parque de los Condes. This ViñoRuta includes a visit to the Romanesque church of Sano Paio de Diomondi, a hiking route through the elbows of Belesar, a zodiac ride through the Miño and a visit to the winery, to have the end in Monforte, on the Paseo del Malecón. At 16.30 also from the Parque de los Condes there will be two ViñoRutas, the one from Sil "De Agua y Vino" and the one from Quiroga, "Ruta del Vino y del Aceite". The first includes a trekking route along the Pasarela del Mao, a visit to Castro Caldelas and a visit to a winery with a commented tasting and walk among vineyards, ending in Monforte, on the Paseo del Malecon. For its part, the Quiroga route begins with a visit to the degas of Vilachá de Salvadur and the Mirador de A Capela, visit to the Bendilló oil mill and to a winery, to have the final point on the Paseo del Malecón de Monforte.
