11/13/2022 Monforte was this Friday the scene of the celebration of the second day of the VIII Forum of Creative Cities and Territories of Spain - Forum Lugo 2022, which is hosted by the Diputación de Lugo after being the winner in the previous edition of the Cup España Creativa. After opening the Forum in the capital of the province on Thursday, this Friday the finalists and participants of this meeting, who came from various parts of the Spanish geography, traveled to the Parador of Monforte, where they were received by Lieutenant of Mayor of the City Council, Gloria Prada.
During the morning, a forum was held with the participation of the poet Olga Novo, the urban artist Diego Las, and the photographer from Monforte Manuel Valcárcel. The finalists had the opportunity to defend their candidacies before the representatives of the expert jury. In the afternoon, a discussion forum was held at the Wine Museum with Uxío Novo, from the Uxíonovoneyra Foundation; Elías Gundivós, from Artesanía Gundivós; Alexandra Seara, from the Ribeira Sacra Tourism Consortium; and Carolina Pereira, executive secretary of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage of the Government of Chile.
Furthermore, the participants were able to enjoy a catamaran route through the Sil canyons and taste the Ribeira Sacra wines, two activities that aimed to show the Forum Lugo 2022 participants the landscape and culture of this area of the province of Lugo, Ribeira Sacra, of which Monforte is the capital.
